‘No coms’ means that the logger is not communicating with your PC.

  • Check if connection cables are inserted correctly.
  • Check if connection cables are faulty
  • Check serial port number

How to check my serial port number?

  1. Click on start menu
  2. Type device manager
  3. Select PORT (COM<P) dropdown
  4. USB to serial port number will be displayed
  • Press menu button
  • You can use the up and down button to navigate menu. Option 3 would be Logger setup – press enter
  • Option 1 is Date and option 2 would be Time
  • Press enter on date or time to and edit to change
  • Once changed, press ok

The PCW logger automatically goes into sleep mode after 1 minute to save battery power. The logger will switch on after pressing any button.
